In 2025, Aratek and its local partner supported an immigration registration initiative in Côte d’Ivoire for people entering from Burkina Faso. The project deployed Aratek MOSIP Enrollment Kits together with Backpack Kits to help border registration teams carry out secure and reliable biometric enrollment at registration sites. By combining MOSIP-compliant biometric capture, rugged field deployment, and a more organized enrollment workflow, the solution helped teams reliably capture fingerprints, facial images, and supporting documents in locations where operating conditions could vary significantly. It also helped Côte d’Ivoire strengthen identity registration and support trusted identity verification when required for immigration management, public security, and future administrative processes.

Immigrationregistration requires a reliable process from the first point of enrollment. InCôte d’Ivoire, registration teams had to carry out this work at border-sidelocations where working conditions were not always ideal. Some sites weretemporary or semi-outdoor, with limited space and exposure to strong sunlight, dust, rain, and other changing environmental factors. At the same time, teamsstill needed to capture biometric and supporting identity data in a consistentand manageable way. Key challenges included:

MOSIP-compliant Biometric Enrollment Kit
To address these operational demands, Aratek Biometrics and its local partner deployed a flexible registration setup built around Aratek MOSIP Enrollment Kits and Aratek Backpack Kits. This combination allowed Côte d’Ivoire border registration teams to establish more structured temporary registration points where needed, while also supporting more mobile enrollment where portability was important.
The Aratek MOSIP kit supported MOSIP-compliant fingerprint, face, and document capture in one coordinated workflow, while its dual-screen setup helped keep the enrollment process more organized for operators and easier for registrants to follow. Built into an IP67-rated rugged case with extended battery power, the Aratek MOSIP kit was well suited for dusty, semi-outdoor, and infrastructure-limited border locations. For more mobile deployment needs, the Aratek Backpack Kit used MOSIP-compliant Marshall 8 Plus biometric enrollment tablet as its core, giving teams a lighter field-ready option without losing core enrollment capability.
